I am Marianne Breitenbach and am the artist at Under The Stars.
I am Scottish and now call Dublin home after living here for 10 years.
I found face painting after having a career break and fell in love with expressing myself creatively. I have always been interested in arts and crafts and love to spend a rainy day creating with my daughter, I am also keen on sewing and have, of course, made my own costumes which can be worn as part of your party package at no extra cost.
I embarked on my journey by 1st taking a one-on-one session with a professional face and body artist in January 2013, she educated me on the do's and don'ts of painting with special focus on equipment, insurance and hygiene methods for painters and I have been researching, investing and practicing like crazy ever since.
I enjoy fantasy, fun and dressing up and am able to keep in touch with my inner child due to having a young daughter with a vivid imagination. I love to interact with children and adults alike, (I always like to hear people's stories and have over 20 years experience in the entertainment industry) and am enthralled when I see a delighted face in what is known within the trade as the 'mirror moment'.
My aim is to provide a quality affordable service, enabling everybody to totally immerse themselves in their own imagination, whilst leaving long lasting, happy memories.
If I can make someone happy for a while with the escape of the paint then my job is done.

A bump paint is a unique way to commemorate your pregnancy, often paired with a photographer it will give you lasting memories of your special time. Mother and artist will work together to come up with a design and other little ones can be painted too for a great family photo. Also available as a surprise baby shower gift and is done as a home visit.
Body painting is a great way to get a message across, to celebrate a milestone or just for the heck of it. Model and artist will work together to create a unique commissioned piece which can be part or full body.
Glitter tattoos are safe and fun, using cosmetic grade glue and glitters you can be adorned in funky designs that will stay for up to a week or can be washed off when you like. These are a great alternative for children that are hesitant about getting their faces painted.
